Esteban Veliz

Plant Biologist, Microbial Ecologist & Educator

I am currently finishing a doctorate in the Plant Biology Department at UC Davis, where I have been investigating how root microbiomes assemble from agricultural soils. My research has centered around plant-microbe symbioses, focusing on understanding critical processes and mechanisms involved in the microbiome, the knowledge of which could be used to develop appropriate tools for a sustainable intensification of agriculture.
